The services most important to our daily lives are provided by local government. In Worthington, when it snows we know our streets will be clear by the time we leave for work or school. We know dodging potholes is a pastime in Columbus not Worthington. As Worthington residents, we know that when we call 911, our first responders will quickly arrive to help us. When we turn on the facet, we know the water will be clean. On Thursday when we put the trash and recycling at the curb, we know it will be gone when we get home Friday. We trust that our parks will be safe, clean places to spend time outside with our families.
The outstanding services we have come to expect in Worthington don’t come by accident. They are the result of strong, experienced leadership. I am proud to have been a part of that leadership for the last sixteen years.
I have spent my entire legal career in service at both the state and local level. For the last twenty-two years I have protected Ohio’s families through my work as an Assistant Attorney General. For the last eight years I have served on Worthington City Council making sure the services we expect continue. My experience makes me aware of the trust the citizens have placed in me and I pledge to honor that trust.
We you go to vote this year, ask yourself if you like living in Worthington. If the answer is yes, then I hope I have earned your vote.
Thank you for your support.
My wife Mindy, a registered nurse, and I have called Worthington our home for 35 years. During that time we have raised three children of whom we are immensely proud. Jacob, a 2007 graduate of Thomas Worthington is currently attendant The Ohio State University after completing his tour of duty with the United States Army. Logan is a graduate of Linworth Alternative Program and is currently working full time. Zoe, also a graduate of Linworth, after playing softball for two years at Ashland University transferred to OSU where she is about to complete her degree.
As you tour my website I hope that you will get to know me and share my vision for our city. I encourage you to email me with your thoughts about making Worthington a better place to live, work and build our futures. Together I know we can make a difference.
If you have a suggestion, please feel free to let me know what is on your mind.
The last four years have been exciting and challenging times for Worthington. I have worked diligently to improve transparency and communication with the goal of including all residents in the decision making process. I believe we have made great strides in this effort. This year council made the redevelopment of the Wilson Bridge Corridor as our top priority and have several initiatives in progress to revitalize our main commercial area.
